Hey, wait. “I will happily accept books to review.” You mean, I could send you a copy of my novel and you might review it? Really? Wow. Where do I send it?

Oh, and I’m not offering compensation. In case you were wondering. :-)

Of course I’d review it. To be fair, your novel is already on my TBR list, so I’ll review it anyway, but if you’d like me to get to it sooner, you could certainly send it.

Unfortunately, I still haven’t invested in an eReader. I imagine it will be easier for authors to send me eBooks rather than print copies. But for now, you’d have to mail me a copy, and because that requires a small expense, I don’t expect you to— but if you’d like to, I can email you the address.

Alexis, you may want to consider downloading the free software program called Calibre. It is an e-book reader for Windows that can read just about any file for use on your PC. I’ve used if for Nook books because I have a Kindle. Amazon also has a Kindle “Cloud Reader” that does the same thing but of course is proprietary to Kindle files only while Calibre reads anything. Just Google “Calibre” and it will come up near the top – it’s free and pretty self explanatory to use. Also, I don’t know if you review mysteries but my book “Slaying Season” is just out this month – I’d be glad to send you a paperback copy to review. I believe we follow each other on Twitter, I am @jameslaabs

Thanks a lot, James. Calibre sounds like a must-have. I’ll have to see if it works on Macs, though. Typically, I try to avoid reading full length novels on my laptop; from long hours reading such things in college, my eyes don’t appreciate the glare of the screen. Admittedly, there have been times when, as a regretful environmental terrorist, I would print out hundreds of pages just to read in comfort. How do you do it?

I would love to review your book. I’ll send you a tweet.

James, I am changing my review policy temporarily and cannot accept copies for review at the moment. I will contact you if this changes. Thanks for your interest!

I tried to email you to get the address, but maybe I went into your spam folder. :-)

I would love to send you a copy to review (at your leisure). Please send the address.

Anthony, as we’ve discussed, I will contact you once I am able to accept copies for review. Thanks for your interest and patience.
