Summary:

An unnamed narrator provides glimpses into his relationship with his lover. He chooses several words for most letters of the alphabet and defines them in personal terms relevant to his experiences. The result is profound insight into how we define love and how love defines us.

Comments:

This book was addictive. It’s a light, quick read, but it will make you laugh out loud in the same way it will sadden you. It’s a brutally honest look at how our relationships can affect us; in equal measure the narrator explores the wonderful and disconcerting ways in which love ties itself to us, crafting lovers from individuals. It’s like a little romantic comedy with sad, honest undertones.

Do I recommend this book?

For anyone who has experienced the good and bad of love, and anyone who would appreciate a sneak peek into the lives of another, although probably fictional, couple. Also great for word-lovers!
